The Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center is a WONDERFUL place to give the most precious "gift of time" to others. Volunteering not only lifts up those you are helping, but it will also lift YOUR spirits and keeps you active and engaged in life! Here are a few fun ways you can give back to the community:
SPECIAL EVENTS CREW: (GREATLY NEEDED!)
XARSC is seeking to organize a GROUP of Volunteers we can call on to help at special events throughout the year. Approximately once a month for 2 - 4 hours helping our kitchen staff with events that include serving meals. Must be able to stand and move for 2 hours, serve meals, pour drinks and refills, clear dishes and clean up after the event. Would you be willing to give the gift of time to XARSC and join this "SPECIAL EVENTS CREW"? Our XARSC Staff greatly needs the extra helping hands!
MEALS ON WHEELS DELIVERY DRIVERS:
Deliver hot meals to seniors in Xenia 1 day per week or on call as a sub. Delivery is from 10:45 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. It can take 1 hour, but never more than 2 hours. Drivers get a free meal coupon to use in the XARSC Cafeteria after delivery.
Must have own car and pass a background and fingerprint check. One of the most wonderful ways to make a difference in the lives of others! PERFECT for a retiree or retired couple, or 2 friends to do together as a team.
FRONT OFFICE HELP
1 afternoon or 1 morning a week as a FILL-IN in sub: Answer phones, transfer calls, direct seniors to classes, etc.
NEWSLETTER HELPERS
Help out once a month with putting together our newsletter mailings.
CLASS LEADER/INSTRUCTOR
If you have a skill to share, want to lead a class, we invite you to speak to LINDA to offer your time and talents to volunteer in Programs.
KEEP SCROLLING SO WE CAN INSPIRE YOU!!........................................
